On Friday, June 5, 2020, Anne-Marie Pecoraro was invited in the webinar organized by Licensing International France about the good practices to adopt in the fight against counterfeiting, with Christophe Drevet.
Based on the observation that counterfeiting is a global and constantly growing curse, but also that a lot of organizations are involved in the fight against counterfeiting without right holders sometimes knowing who to turn to, Anne-Marie Pecoraro offered them a real toolbox to prepare effective strategies to protect and defend their brands.
She outlined a four-step method consisting in protecting, anticipating, and optimizing its intellectual property rights (by auditing your trademark portfolio, for example); but also monitoring physical and online markets; acting with evidence; and lastly, informing and informing yourself, particularly with the major e-commerce platforms.
Finally, the participants in this webinar were lucky enough to benefit from the speakers’ extensive experience to better understand the good practices to adopt in the fight against counterfeiting.
