On Wednesday June 3, 2020, during the Midem Digital Edition, Anne-Marie Pecoraro was invited by the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers (IAEL) to report on legal updates regarding entertainment and technologies but also to imagine what can be expected in the next 12 months. She took the floor on the following and very topical subject: “Covid-19: Disruption: Change in compensation for artists on various streaming platforms (live and not live)”.
Other issues were discussed to talk about the impact of and reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic along with: CMO tariffs for dance events; the Kraftwerk sampling case; Skidmore v. Led Zeppelin; the Universal fire litigation; Tiktok (Douyin) v. Huopai (Baidu) and an MLC Update.
