Google has been sentenced to a 300,000 Euro fine by the Spanish Authority for personal data protection.
Google was blamed for collecting and storing personal data collected via open WiFi networks without obtaining the individuals’ consent. Data were collected by the cars used by Google for its Street View service and included the individuals e-mail addresses, logins and passwords, IP addresses…
The Spanish authority had already fined Google in the past, including a 900,000 Euro fine in 2013.
