Jeff Koons gives Bouquet of Tulips to Paris and to the French people as a gesture of friendship

ATurquoise attended yesterday morning the French-American Breakfast of the French-American Foundation France on the occasion of a transatlantic early meal.

This moment was dedicated to the monumental sculpture offered by Jeff Koons to France and destined to occupy the Palais of Tokyo’s forecourt.

His « Bouquet of Tulips », still in the process of being made in Germany, symbolizes memory, optimism and recovery after the 2015 tragedy in Paris. 130 years after the French gift of the statue of Liberty to the USA.

This was the opportunity for the Firm to meet Jeff Koons and listen to his understanding of the political, economic and cultural connections between our two countries. A unique opportunity to hear the plastic artist confide in the audience about his conceptions upon art, art history, things, people, as well as modernity and science. He highlighted the important influence of French culture upon his work, and discussed about a quite little-known matter, speaking about his team, his creation process and his twenty-year-old partnership with the German company Arnold.
